This is a sponsored conversation about DIY Craft Kits for Everyone in the Family on behalf of MakersKit. I was provided kits to facilitate this review. All opinions are my own.
Let me just tell you, I love crafts. Love them. But so often I don’t have the time to go out looking for crafts to do and I definitely don’t have the time or energy to go shopping for all the items involved in the crafts I find. Call me lazy – or energy resourceful, but I just don’t. That’s why I love to invest in craft kits and today’s craft kits are going to rock your socks off!
You see – that’s the total idea behind MakersKit. They provide you with a variety of DIY Craft Kits and you have the idea, contents you need, AND instructions to make whatever suits your fancy! I was sent the Lip Balm MakersKit and the Dinosaur Terrarium Mason Jar Kit.
I’ll let you guess which one was for me. Until then, check out the amazing time my oldest daughterhad creating the Dinosaur Terrarium.
You see – I’ve mentioned a couple of times how dino obsessed my oldest daughter is. So much so that in a couple week when we’re celebrating her 4th birthday, we’ll be doing it T-Rex style! So, when I spotted that Dino Terrarium, I knew that’s what she’d love.
On top of being just a fun DIY Craft Kit, this was a great science lesson for her too. We talked about dinosaurs, of course, and she learned all about Terrariums and how they self water. She discovered moss for the first time [how is it that moss hadn’t come up in all her 4 years already?!] and she practiced some hands on planting activities!
To say she loved this DIY Craft Kit, well, it would be an understatement. She checks on her Terrarium everyday, hoping to see some flower sprouts [yes, they included flower seeds for it!] And me? I’m obsessed with Lip Balm, so yes, the Lip Balm MakersKit is all mine!
I love the ease of getting my craft on without having to plan or shop for the crafts and supplies myself. I also love the fact that you can get detailed instructions and even videos for some of the kits, right on the MakersKit website. I also love the little extra bits of info that are snuck into the videos.
The kits are decently priced, especially for what you’re getting. I would have no reservations about ordering again – in fact, I most certainly will be because in both of the kits there was a $10 off coupon code! The Dinosaur Terrarium Kit retails for $18, the Lip Balm Kit retails for $16, and even their most expensive kit is only $32 for a Classic Cocktails Bar Set! You would easily spend that much, or more, when shopping for supplies on your own.
