Until just recently, Buttons Cloth Diapers weren’t even on my radar. I’ve mostly used what stash I already had from my first son on our newest addition, so I haven’t been on the lookout for very many new diapers or accessories. Can I just say, I am so happy Buttons gave me the opportunity to do this review! Where has Buttons been all my life!?!
From the moment this fluff mail arrived, I have been impressed! In this world, especially mine as a cake decorator, presentation is everything. This package came beautifully wrapped. It was just so cute, I had to take a picture! Now I know that has nothing to do with the product, but it does show the attention to detail that Amy from Buttons puts into her work! Once I unwrapped that package, I was very pleasantly surprised. I received a complimentary diaper pail liner, velour wipes, and diaper cover with inserts.
Now I won’t lie, I only have a couple of pail liners to compare to. For some things, I guess I adopt the motto, “if it’s not broken, don’t fix it.” (Or maybe that’s just a southern saying?) Now I know this is just a bag to hold poo and pee diapers, but with that in mind, the quality of this thing is awesome!!! It’s my new favorite! It is made from the thickest, nicest feeling PUL I’ve ever encountered. It’s twice as thick as my other pail liners or wet bags. Even with such high quality, these pail liners retail for $16, which is the average price for most brands. It’s sewn with a 3D shape that allows for more diaper storage. It’s made with a draw string closure. While the elastic is not made to hang up, I think this would be an awesome option to store the family’s wet towels and suits after a day at the beach or pool. (See, there’s another way to sell it to hubby, because you might want it, but not need it… It’s a multipurpose purchase!) The chevron pattern, named Charming, I received, is super cute. I know it just goes inside my diaper pail and I hardly get to see it, but it does make laundry day a tad more cheerful!
I also received a pack of velour wipes. They come in a very vibrant green color. They are super soft and quite thick. The top is a layer of velour, and the back is microfiber. I’ve thought about switching to all cloth wipes, but I just can’t bring myself to do it. Even though I’m not wiping bums with these, I still love them. We use them as wash cloths. So if you are like me and haven’t committed to reusable wipes, don’t count these out. I love how soft and gentle these wipes are on my baby’s skin. They lather really well with soap, and they are also great for a quick clean up after lunch! You can pick up a pack of 6 for $8.50 at buttonsdiapers.com.
While I was only expecting a complimentary pail liner and velour wipes, Amy, from Buttons Diapers generously included a diaper also, and I’m sooooo glad she did! I love this diaper! If I had it all to do again, multiple Buttons diapers would definitely be in my stash!
The quality of the PUL on this diaper cover is amazing. The cover is so soft and flexible, it just screams luxury to me. They have double leg gussets which I love, because it makes me feel like it gives a little extra protection against those would-be blow outs! The covers are one size and adjust with snaps to fit babies from 9-35 pounds.
Another thing I love about these diapers is there’s no stuffing pockets. The inserts, which are made of 4 layers of microfiber, covered in a top layer of super soft fleece, just snap right in! It’s so simple! One snap up front and one in the back, and you are in business! There is nothing to smooth or straighten out. It’s so easy! The inserts come in 2 sizes: small for about 9-20 pounds and large for babies 20-35 pounds. There are both microfiber and hemp/cotton options available, so you can customize what works best for you. The price is a bargain, ranging from $3.50 – $7.75 each.
I received the color Tangerine and it is a beautiful orange/coral color. There are 12 solid colors to choose from, and also 6 prints. The colors are so vibrant, and the prints are the cutest. You will definitely want to hop over to buttonsdiapers.com and check them out! There is an adorable little embroidered button on the back of every diaper too, which is just another example of the attention to detail in these diapers.
Now for the best part… The price! When I looked up these diapers online, I was expecting a hefty price tag because of the craftsmanship and quality, but I was shocked. Solid diaper covers are only $11!!! You can get prints for only $12.50. Now remember, this type of diaper is the hybrid style also, so if your babe just has a little tinkle, you could just snap out the insert, wipe the cover clean and use another insert. That means, you don’t even have to have a new cover for every diaper change, which also saves you money! I’m just over the moon that parents finally have the opportunity to cloth diaper their babies on a budget, without skimping on the quality of the diaper. I cannot stress enough how well made this brand truly is. It is just as good, if not better than brands that are almost double the price.
If you can’t already tell, I am very impressed with this brand. The fit, performance, and craftsmanship are top notch! Y’all need Buttons diapers in your life, so you can see what I’m talking about. Hop on over to buttonsdiapers.com, browse the products, and watch the videos. They are just so cute and such a steal, you’ll be happy you did!
